To ask the Chief Executive that as it was agreed at the October Area Committee Meeting that two anti-litter signs would be erected on the stretch of the Whitestown Stream from the N81 at Cloonmore to the bridge at Cloonmore Road. This is a particularly bad area for refuse dumping into the river. When will these signs be erected?  Will it be possible for CCTV to be installed to deter offenders?

"To ask the Chief Executive what measures can be put in place to improve the safety of pedestrians on the Celbridge Road (it gets substantial foot traffic). The footpath is narrow and cars drive very fast. To also advise if the footpath on the R403 between Weston Airport and The Orchard is completed (seems that there is section of the road missing, more likely due to the border between the two authorities). It is quite bizarre/dangerous that it just ends - and that there is a bus stop sitting like an island in the middle of the road."

"To ask the Chief Executive to arrange for the following to be examined, this was also raised via members net;

Please find below a request to fix the flood situation on Newcastle road at the traffic lights / junction if you could have this area examined and repaired.
“I wonder could you resolve the problem on the path near the traffic lights on the Adamstown Road see the attached photo.
When it rains it causes a flood of water also a muck bed. Because the path is narrow at that point it makes life harder for people with buggies and people in general to get by. It can be very dangerous if it is icy in winter time. There is no proper drainage to allow the water to flow into also you will notice a slope on the right-hand side near the road. I wonder could you please bring this to the notice of the council department that deals with such matters.”

That this Area Committee requests the Chief Executive carry out a feasibility study to design steps at the area directly behind Kew Park estate. The existing laneway at Kew Park leads onto the R835 (see photo marking the area). This area has become a connection for many residents living in the Kew Park and Weston Estates to the village area, local schools in Airlie Heights etc. There is a desire by residents to walk to these locations and installing steps at this area would allow for safer access and encourage walking over driving.
