That this Area Committee calls on this Council to work with Lucan East Educate Together and the E.T.B. to put a proper traffic management and parking plan in place, to help with traffic movement on Griffeen Avenue after recent changes to parking in the school.

Noting the imminent recommencing of the Part 8 Scheme from Lucan Village and the planned Grand Canal "looped" greenway through Lucan village, that this Area Committee asks the Chief Executive to consider options to increase tourism in Lucan village and particularly noting the number of culinary establishments in the area to consider marketing Lucan village as a food destination.
Noting the imminent provision of electronic gates at Griffeen Valley Park at its Haydens Lane entrance, that this Area Committee discuss the potential to extend car parking facilities in the park in this location.
That this Area Committee ask the Chief Executive, since the implementation of the National Biodiversity Pollinator Plan 2015-2020, if he can confirm if the Council are signed up to this plan? As we now have many voluntary community groups of which many of them are residents groups, we ask that groups are allowed to do more biodiversity projects and in particular, wildflowers.
That this Area Committee ask the Chief Executive to report on any issues in relation to quality of the Griffeen River and to make comment on whether it’s suitable for dogs to drink from the river. Could the management reconsider implementing a drink tap within the dog park?

That this Area Committee ask the Chief Executive for a report on what plan is in place for the money not spent on the Lucan €300,000 have you say budget. The feasibility report on the Silver Bridge has come in under budget at €13,158.54 and the work on the entrance to the graveyard has not taken place.

That this Area Committee calls on the Chief Executive to provide funding in the rolling capital programme to extend and add equipment to the new playground in Waterstown Park. This playground has been warmly welcomed by the residents in Palmerstown and it needs to grow to match the size of other playgrounds in regional parks in the County.

That this Area Committee calls on the Chief Executive to work with the Minister for Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht Josepha Madigan and any other funding bodies that are available to support this Council to purchases the old school house in Lucan Village.
UPDATE ON THE RIVER PODDLE FLOOD ALLEVIATION SCHEME
That this Area Committee request the Chief Executive report on formal communications received from Lucan East Educate Together in relation to the provision of land for temporary or permanent parking bays on the existing SDZ green space adjacent to the school so as to alleviate potential additional heavy gridlock on Griffeen Avenue in the afternoons as a result of vehicular access to school drop off points having had to be curtailed recently; to outline what wider actions can be taken additionally and if a statement can be made.
"That this Committee agrees that the Council install name signs in the Ronanstown Estate. The estate is one of the oldest estates in the area and it is not properly sign posted."
Proposed Declaration of Roads to be Public Roads

"This area Committee agrees for a provision of an ample sized wall be built to replace the stub wall at the front of Letts Field along the 9th Lough Road. Furthermore this wall should aesthetically blend in with the other walls in the estate."
