Noting the imminent recommencing of the Part 8 Scheme from Lucan Village and the planned Grand Canal "looped" greenway through Lucan village, that this Area Committee asks the Chief Executive to consider options to increase tourism in Lucan village and particularly noting the number of culinary establishments in the area to consider marketing Lucan village as a food destination.

Noting the imminent provision of electronic gates at Griffeen Valley Park at its Haydens Lane entrance, that this Area Committee discuss the potential to extend car parking facilities in the park in this location.

That this Area Committee ask the Chief Executive, since the implementation of the National Biodiversity Pollinator Plan 2015-2020, if he can confirm if the Council are signed up to this plan? As we now have many voluntary community groups of which many of them are residents groups, we ask that groups are allowed to do more biodiversity projects and in particular, wildflowers.

The feasibility report on the Silver Bridge has come in under budget at €13,158.54 and the work on the entrance to the graveyard has not taken place.

This playground has been warmly welcomed by the residents in Palmerstown and it needs to grow to match the size of other playgrounds in regional parks in the County.
