To ask the Chief Executive for an update on the possible development of the Lock Keeper's Cottage on the canal and if funding has been approved by Waterways Ireland for this project?
That the Chief Executive, in light of the proposed Canal Loop Cycle Way, commence a comprehensive traffic study in Lucan Village to find out the origin/destination of traffic through the village and explore options to reduce traffic including the possibilities of a one-way system and pedestrianisation of sections of the village.

"Has South Dublin County Council or any other Council piloted at text system to help improve there litter free place. By introducing a text alert system it will help speedy clean up and pleasant environment for the majority in the community, instead of focusing on a minority. Can we encourage report litter or pollution incidents to help facilitate cleaner living environment on or website rather than focusing on residents expected to report to encourage prosecutions and fines."
Can Chief Executive update on the proposed discussion between Tallaght Councillors, SDCC and Transport for Ireland regarding Bus Connects Infrastructure projects in the Tallaght Wards.
This Area Committee request Chief Executive to look at the potential for increasing use at Whitestown stream Jobstown by cyclists walkers and Community Groups by targeted activity by the Community and Social Inclusion Teams.
Area Committee commits to including area at Whitestown Stream Jobstown as a funding priority- either as a stand alone project or through the 2022 works projects- with funding streams to be discussed upon managements report on projected costs associated with the area.
Area Committee commits to recognising and categorising Whitestown Stream at Jobstown as a park. ( possibly as part of Whitestown Stream Linear Park) and will advocate such in upcoming Development Plan.

This committee sends its thanks to council staff in community/public realm for all their assistance in providing all the cleanup materials to all the individuals doing their regular clean ups. Given the pride that everyone is taking in their areas, and acknowledging all the estates/areas which have been transformed by ways of new signs, flower beds, pot plants etc could the Chief Executive consider introducing what was known as 'garden completions' many years ago, estate competitions.
To ask the Chief Executive if The Tree Planting Section could plant mature trees and hedges between Verschoyle Drive and the basketball court adjacent to the road due to its close proximity to residents and the associated noise issue (photo attached). Since the construction of the court, it has been having a negative impact on the residents who must frequently deal with the noise caused by the basketball court, especially late into night and in the early mornings. No consideration has been given to these residents for the last few years and they are tired of hearing about the tree planting season being over each time a request is put forward.
I notice that the % of unaccounted water is close to 40% in the County. The council issued figures a few years ago to say we were one of the better Local Authorities for water leakage and our average was below 20%. Can I ask the Chief Executive to confirm with Irish Water if the "unaccounted for water" figures have deteriorated and what measures if any are there in place to improve this figure.
To ask the Chief Executive what is the estimated number of private houses with the county who are exempt from Property Tax and what is the estimated revenue shortfall to the council for same.
To ask the Chief Executive to give an update on the tender process for the dog pound facilities and what was the basis/scoring for awarding the successful applicant. Also how many tenders were lodged and unsuccessful?
That the Chief Executive puts in place a short term and medium term improvement plan for better maintenance and public enjoyment of the green space area adjoining Hillcrest Heights/Park beside The Paddocks following repeated multiple complaints about dumping and vandalism at this location; to optimise any proposed new opening/walkway between the two areas in consultation with residents as part of this; and if a statement can be made on the matter.
To ask Chief Executive to write to Dublin bus requesting for a relocation of bus stop in lucan village (see map attached) to allow for local business to avail of outdoor dining during these challenging times. If this could be examined as a measure on a temporary basis.

To ask the Chief Executive to provide a report on how many homes are waiting for window replacements, North of Naas Road, in the enhanced window replacement programme, the average waiting time, what impact Covid restrictions have had on delays in the programme and what additional resources have been put in place to meet the demand for this service?
To ask the Chief Executive to provide a report for discussion on the ongoing issues with roof leaks at properties in Foxdene Avenue, Meile Rí, Buirg an Rí and Tor an Rí that are the subject of continued investigation and to outline if the council are working on finding a long term solution to the ongoing problems, to include any budget allocated amount for this work and when will the works be carried out.
