That this Council calls on the Minister for Transport to expedite the process to ensure that Legislation is passed to deal with the control of Scramblers and expresses concern at the delay in dealing with the issue which is of great concern to many.
Noting that Circular PL02-2018 predates provision for Large Scale Residential Developments, that this Council writes to the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage of Ireland requesting clarification as to whether it would be appropriate for presentations to be furnished by local authorities to Area Committee Meetings in relation to Large Scale Residential Developments (LRDs) planned for their areas, similar to those done in relation to Strategic Housing Developments (SHDs), given the significance of these developments for our areas

"The Dodder Greenway is looking great and people are enjoying it, I would like to request that the features of the Dodder greenway bridges, greenway boundary features e.g, stone walls, red iron entrance markers and red iron bridge fencing used to identify the greenway and entrance / exit points to it are to be of a similar design and quality in the Tallaght Part as what is in Cherryfield, Kilvere Rd and Firhouse road - which all look amazing. The big difference in design and quality is obvious between those and the Avonmore entrance to the greenway?"

Could the Manager publish a timetable for grass cutting in the Kilnamanagh area, to assist the excellent local Tidy District volunteers to plan for edging, weed clearance and general maintenance work that they carry out daily in the area.
"Could the Manager inform this Area Committee if there are plans to prune/cutback trees on the main road through Brookmount Estate, as residents are complaining that there are low branches causing problems for cyclists using the cycle lane and other branches are overhanging driveways of local houses?"

That this area committee agrees that the council erect a sign with a brief history on Irishtown Castle that is situated in the grounds of Old Tower in Quarryvale. This modest castle was constructed in 1601 by Alderman Patrick Browne. During the rebellion in 1642 the castle then defended by a garrison of 10 men found themselves conscripted into the confederate army and was lay siege to by English forces.
That management agree to provide a breakdown report on the progress of previous motions tabled by councillors and agreed by this committee, on the need for litter bins at Shancastle Shops, enhancements to Quarryvale Park, perimeter park wall repairs at Shancastle Lawns and for this report to outline what weed spraying, road sweeping and general estate maintenance works that are occurring or scheduled in the immediate period ahead.
