To ask the Chief Executive for a report into Local Authorities powers to purchase tenanted homes that come on the market for sale where the tenant is on social housing supports. Report to elaborate on the SDCC’s current plans and to confirm what the approach is regarding the time the tenant may have been on the housing list?

To ask the Chief Executive Offficer for an update on information received from the TII in relation to any recently introduced measures to reduce speeding and increase safety at M50 junctions including the ones leading to and from the N4, in light of data the TII has on accidents occurring on the M50 and at its junctions with the N4.
That this Area Committee supports the residents of Newcastle call and petition for the establishment of a secondary school in Newcastle , we note the huge growth in population, poor transport links and in the interest of community that a secondary school is vital for the area. Plans to build a school in Citywest are not satisfactory to the Newcastle Community and we commit to write to Minister of Education with this motion.
That this Area Committee supports local calls and petition for lights to be added into the Clondalkin Park local skatepark, we recognise the importance of this local amenity to so many young people and request the council look and act on this request
To ask the Chief Executive to report on his actions during October to deal with the challenges of the Halloween season and will he present a statement?

That this committee calls on the manager to install a railing around the Glendown children's play space at the junction of Glendown road and Templeville Road. This is an issue I raised when the proposal for play space was first brought to council and it continues to be a matter of grave concern to the parents of young children that visit the play area.
