To ask the Chief Executive, what was the content of the 6 responses relating to Rathcoole Park - out of 297 participants with actual responses considerably lower - from the consultation on Teen Spaces, and what were the arising criteria that resulted in Rathcoole Park being recommended as an addition to the Teen Space Programme at a cost of an estimated 60,000 euro (500,000 euro across 8 locations)?
To ask the Chief Executive, given that a Teen Space has been decided for Rathcoole Park, what other plans are there for Rathcoole Park?
That this committee calls on the manager to inspect the footpath between number 2/3 Rathfarnham Castle Estate where there is a deep dip in the footpath adjacent to a small ESB box in the wall. It is particularly difficult to see at night and potentially dangerous.
To ask the Chief Executive to elaborate on what arrangement does it have with the GAA in regard to the GAA lands in Rathcoole adjacent to Rathcoole Park?
To ask the Chief Executive to clarify, does the Council own the GAA lands in Rathcoole adjacent to Rathcoole Park as indicated in the accompanying map and on the Land Development Agency map (https://lda.ie/public-lands) or does the GAA own the land?
That this Area Committee calls on the Minister for Transport, Environment, Climate and Communications, to amend the Railway Order to authorise building Metrolink to Saint Stephens Green only and, whilst these works are ongoing, to direct that an independent monitoring group be constituted to carry out feasibility studies to determine the optimum onward route for the Metro, noting that continuing the Metro to Charlemont as opposed to having the terminus at Saint Stephen's Green would leave relatively limited potential to extend Metrolink to Dublin South West including Rathfarnham, Templeogue, Knocklyon, Ballyboden and Firhouse, where it is badly needed.
That the Chief Executive provides a report on what led to the 'Fix your Street' service being withdrawn.
Further to my motion at TMM, that this Area Committee calls for urgent action to rectify the unsafe junction at Woodfield and that an urgent inspection is carried out to examine (a) the amount of turning space and (b) the location of the mini-islands from a road safety point of view, notwithstanding the terms of the Two Oaks planning.
