Can he consult with the local Community Council, residents of Kennelsfort Rd and with relevant local business interests along Kennelsfort Road to have the road at a standard that is reflective of the fact that it is the main artery of this settled community.
That South Dublin County Council carry out a survey of the back lane network in Palmerstown with a view to securing them in such a manner that they will no longer be available for illegal dumping and/or for unsocial activities. The present situation is a source of ongoing and severe trauma for adjacent residents as well as a drain on scarce Council and Garda resources and frustrating for the whole Community.
"That the Manager examine the parking problems in Whitehall Close as residents are concerned about a recent occasion when an Ambulance could not reach the home of a very ill person because of cars blocking the road and to ask the Manager to look at (a) the feasibility of installing double yellow lines on one side of the road or (b) providing additional parking by removing the grass verges."
