To ask the Manager to report on what efforts are being made, and what agreement has been made by the domestic refuse collectors, to return empty bins to the pavement? More and more bins are being left on the road which is causing a threat to safety of pedestrians and motorists who often have to walk and drive between empty bins on the road, and where residents, including senior citizens, often have to go onto busy roads to retrieve empty bins.
To ask the Manager for a report on activities and supports provided by the Community Services Department for groups and organisations in Palmerstown?

To ask the Manager if it is anticipated that work on the promenade at Lucan Weir will begin before the end of May and if he can provide a brief outline on the works to be done, with a map/drawing?
To ask the Manager to progress the provision of an engraved granite stone at the entrance to Oak Court Estate as I requested some time ago which would both prevent motorists from parking on the grass margin and enhance this area which is also the gateway to the Community School and Glenaulin Park. This would complement the good work of the residents who are currently fighting an uphill battle to maintain their estate to a high standard?
To ask the Manager if he would install the litter bin at Oak Court Grove as I was promised in January as this is an area frequented by pupils from the local Community School during break and it is both bad training for them not to have a bin for their litter and a hassle for local residents who have to regularly clean up the area?

To ask the Manager if the Parks Department would be supportive of a proposal to invite users of Griffeen Valley Park to join a Park Users Group, with the general aim of promoting the use of the park as a recreational amenity and supporting the Council, the Parks Department staff, including the Park Rangers, in the management and enhancement of the park and its facilities?
To ask the Manager if he will make a report on measures taken by the Council to address problems of litter and dumping in Corkagh Park, Clondalkin and reports of rat infestation, including on and near playing pitches?
That this Committee welcomes the imminent opening of the premises at the Griffeen Centre, Lucan as a Youth Café and headquarters for Lucan Youth Service, and requests the Manager to defer any decision to allocate the room presently used by Lucan Youth Service in the Ballyowen Castle Community Centre for other uses, pending efforts by Lucan Youth Service and County Dublin VEC Youth and Sports Committee to secure the necessary staff and financial resources to continue the provision of youth services and activities in that Centre.
That the Manager would report on the operation of the new swimming pool in Clondalkin over the past months and give details of the technical problems experienced to date including problems with the dividing wall and what steps are being taken to resolve these issues?
That this Council agrees to provide a security presence where there is a continuing anti-social activity. In particular areas of Tor An Rí Estate, Balgaddy Clondalkin, in view of the continuous harassment of the residents by a known small minority also living in same areas of this estate.
That this Council's Community Department brings a report on the provision of facilities for the elderly in our Community Centres at Neilstown and Rowlagh, e.g. are there any drop-in facilities or structured supports available or have these been requested.

(a) What issues remain outstanding and when will they be tackled?
(b) Any implications which may arise from the Coroner's report in relation to the tragic electrocution of a young boy last September.
