To ask the Manager if the Parks Department would survey the grass verges/shrubs and trees along Ballyowen Lane, from the roundabout at St. Loman's Road to the cul-de-sac, particularly on the western side of the lane, and Cluan Rí Park, with a view to implementing a tidy up/cleansing of the area?

That this Committee compliments and praises the Council, Clondalkin Partnership and the Community Services staff on the recently opened Intercultural Centre in Clondalkin and calls for the establishment of a Committee composed of elected representatives, Council officials and Community representatives of the main minority groups and indigenous community for the promotion of integration and inclusiveness through the planning and holding of events that would coincide with festivals (prescribed by the UN, EU or National Government) and are traditional to the various ethnic groupings that now make up the population of the Area covered by this Committee.

That the Manager brings forward a report on how satisfactory the provision of Social Housing is, as against the quality objectives set by this Council and to outline how the Housing Management system is working within this Committee Area and to indicate the issues that have/are being dealt with and if there are any serious problems that require additional action.

That the Grange Castle Golf Club be requested to re-introduce a section for Senior Citizens and/or for the active retired awarding them special affiliation fees and other privileges that would be both attractive and rewarding.
That the Council writes to the Minister responsible, requesting legislation exempting householders from responsibility for the clearing of blockages to foul waste pipes that serve other householders/businesses but that happen to pass under or through their property. The present situation is inequitable and a great source of frustration and expense to certain householders who happen to have such a junction or manhole in their property for which they are responsible and must approach other householders feeding into it for a financial contribution each time it gets blocked which in some older estates can be three or four times a year.
That the median and green edges of the N4, Glenpark open space, Laburnum open space and Heather Grove open space be restored to an acceptable standard and maintained as such now that the main construction work on the M50 has been completed around the Palmerstown intersection. This whole area is now in a very deplorable state dragging down the whole area and represents a serious breach of both the An Bord Pleanála conditions attached to this design, build project and of commitments entered into with residents' representatives. For example, that the open space in Glenpark would be restored to full use in pristine condition by June 2007 and in fact this area is still very unfinished. Firm commitments with dates, etc. are now required if the quality of life of the residents is to be restored to anything like what it was before they were asked for, it's not for the common good, to endure dust, noise, disruption and uncertainty.

To ask the Manager to present a detailed report for discussion on the Liffey Valley Advisory Committee. Would the Manager include details of when this Advisory Committee was first established, how many times the Advisory Committee has met, including details on a year by year basis, what decisions were made and implemented by the Advisory Committee since it was established, what budget if any does the Advisory Committee have or had in the past, and what is the schedule of meetings for this Advisory Committee for the foreseeable future?
To ask the Manager if he would replace the goalposts on the green at Harelawn Park, Clondalkin with a new set?

"To ask the Manager whether the following commitments to the residents of the Moyville Lawn will be completed as promised:
- The completion of the the road at the top of Moyville Lawn
- Repair to road edge adjacent to ESB pole
- Replacement of the pathway behind the ESB pole
- Addition of yellow lines to secure the dangerous parking on both sides at entrance to Moyille Lawn
- Activation of the traffic lights near CostCutters to repair the grave danger and alleviate the difficulty of residents attempting to enter and exit Moyville Lawn
- Replacement or repair of a Capstone and footpaths damaged by Clonmel Enterprises
- Repair of the cracks in the road due to increased traffic
- Development of the open space to the side of No. 1 Moyville Lawn, which is currently in deplorable condition (the residents wish to have the Name Stone moved forward and to be consulted on the types of trees planted)
- Planting of the promised and committed trees. (Residents report that numerous calls to the Parks department have been ineffective)?"

That the Manager would present a detailed report for discussion on the taking-in-charge of Abbeywood Court, specifically the stretch of open space between the houses at Abbeywood Court and the Outer Ring Road. Following my prolonged representations owing to in the absence of legislation compelling a developer to hand over such open space to the Local Authority within a specific time-scale, and my most recent discussions with Council Officials and the Developer, would the Manager confirm that these lands are now taken-in-charge or are finally in the process of being taken-in-charge by South Dublin County Council and within what specific time-scale?
