This Committee request the CE to support the Lucan Festival by way of switching on the Christmas tree lights in Lucan Village. It's appreciated that a recent discussion took place on this matter, however given new members have joined the Lucan Festival committee and some we're unaware of this situation they are looking to get help on this for the year 2023 until they have time to prepare a plan around the provision of Christmas lights.

That this committee requests that funding is included in the upcoming SDCC budget for a pedestrian crossing at peamount road ( a pedestrian crossing on the Peamount Road as you enter Newcastle. Somewhere between the Glebe and the T junction at Annie Mays.) the Senior Executive Engineer has indicated a signal controlled crossing will be installed in this area once funding and resources allow.

To ask the Manager to report on existing contracts for clearing weeds at hard surfaces in estates and in the public realm where glyphosate may be used by contractors. Report to include when contracts are due for renewal and updates in finding alternatives to glyphosate.
