"Can the manager report on events planned for Tallaght stadium?"

REPLY:

The Stadium continues to explore opportunities for hosting a diverse range of events. Active engagement with promoters and external contractors is ongoing, with a view to bringing non-sporting events to the facility over the coming years. This effort aligns with the Council’s vision to maximise the Stadium's role as a cultural and social venue in South Dublin.

One notable upcoming event is the return of the ever-popular Christmas Circus, which will run at the Stadium throughout December and into early January 2025. This annual event has become a tradition at the stadium and is expected to draw substantial attendance.

In addition, the Stadium is progressing plans to host large-scale events, including concerts, leveraging its capacity and infrastructure to cater to broader audiences. The recently revamped corporate and meeting facilities further enhance the Stadium’s appeal for non-sporting events, making it a versatile space suitable for a variety of gatherings and functions.

The Council remains committed to collaborating with stakeholders to ensure that Tallaght Stadium continues to serve as a focal point for community and cultural engagement and it is hoped to expand to large scale events over the next couple of years.
