That this Area Committee recommends that the Draft Parking Bye-Laws 2009 be amended as follows:
- The proposed ‘Tariff A’ parking fee be reduced to a rate of 10 cent per 6 minutes;
- The proposed hours of operation for all parking tariffs applying to Lucan Village should exclude Saturday;
- Paid parking should not, for the time-being, be extended to Lucan Demesne car-park.
That this Council adopt a policy of excluding planning permissions for 'Head shops' when they are found to be within a radius of 10km of any school as has been adopted in different Council's throughout the State.

The areas of flooding potential as indicated in the Dodder Catchment Flood Risk Assessment Management Study (CFRAMS) and the OPW “alluvial soils” floodplain maps are to be taken into account along with the requirements of Section 5 of The Planning System and Flood Risk Management Guidelines (November 2009) when assessing planning applications, with a view to restricting or, if necessary, refusing development proposals within such areas in order to avoid flooding events.’
