That an inspection be carried out as a matter of urgency on safety factors in Whitethorn Estate especially Whitethorn Drive, Clondalkin where young children are using the gradient in the footpath as a skateboard track and "bouncing" out onto the road making it extremely dangerous.  There have been a few near accidents and it is imperative that the Council act without delay by erecting a barrier of some kind.

That a report be brought to this committee re road margins and open spaces owned or maintained by this council where youths congregrate for drinking and drugging activities resulting in debris (needles and broken bottles) being discarded on these spaces to the danger of young children, my query is to ascertain whose responsibility is the removal of this detritus.
