That this Area Committee, noting that it is some 14 months since Garda Authorities wrote to this Council advising that “An Garda Síochána supports the introduction of school time heavy goods vehicles restriction on the Newcastle Road, Lucan”; requests the Manager to conclude any remaining consultations with stakeholders so as to present a report to the April meeting of this committee for the purpose of consideration of the proposal to introduce a school-time HGV restriction on Newcastle Road.
That this Committee shares the concerns expressed by several Lucan residents about the condition of parts of the footpaths in Lucan Village, notes that a small number of residents have reported that they tripped and fell due to faults in the footpath, and requests the Manager to arrange for an immediate inspection of the footpaths throughout the main street of the Village, including the section adjacent to the Village, opposite Courtney's Licensed Premises, and allocate funding from the discretionary part of the Roads Grant for essential repairs to be carried out where there are definite hazards to pedestrians.
That this Area Committee recommends that the Control of Parking Bye-Laws 2010 be amended such that firstly those areas of Palmerston Village currently subject to an ‘A’ tariff will now be subject to an ‘A1’ tariff (similar to that which applies in Lucan Village); and secondly to omit the ‘horseshoe’ residential area at Old Lucan Road from pay-parking.

"To ask the Manager to confirm that works will be carried out on trees at address supplied (Walkway from Firhouse Road to Woodlawn Park/Carigwood) without further delay as per commitments already given?"
" To ask the Manager to list those developments and properties in the Tallaght area that are in the control of NAMA".
"Would the Manager make a report regarding the condition of the speed ramp located at the entrance to the Square Shopping. This ramp is used as a pedrestrian crossing from the walkway beside McDonalds drive-in and the DSP building?"
"To ask the Manager to provide additional Traffic Calming Measures on Rockfield Ave. as the existing ramps are failing to slow cars or deter rat running on the road?"
That this Committee calls on the Manager to provide a report on the pilot projects that took place in the Tallaght area relating to humidity sensitive ventilation systems which was an attempt to solve the massive problems of mould growth in apartments and other households which we as a Council have responsibility for. Residents being told that they should not have clothes horses in their homes and that it is a "liflestyle issue" is unacceptable and does nothing to resolve the matter for people who on many occasions have children with constant bronchial and other health problems as a result.
Cathaoirleach's Business:
That this Committee calls upon the Manager to make a report indicating what progress, if any, has been made in relation to the reinstatement of public lighting on the roadway leading to the Baskball Arena in Tymon Park and to inform the Committee if any agreement was reached with Basketball Ireland regarding the cost of reinstatement of the lights.
Proposed initiation of procedure to extinguish Public Right of Way over disused section of Daletree Road, Tallaght.
That this Committee calls on the Manager to remove the trees at the name stone at Ely Drive in consultation with local residents as this area has become an area attractive to anti-social elements, That the Council further removes the graffiti from the name stone itself.
That the Manager provide an update on the masts on the Badminton Hall on Whitehall Road and that the Council will actively seek to reduce the number of masts at this location as part of the licensing process
That this Committee calls on the Manager to arrange for the cleansing of the green space to the rear of St Dominic's shopping centre adjacent to Avonbeg and Homelawn Estates as it has become neglected since a local man who cleansed the area voluntarily became ill.
That this Committee calls on the Manager to provide a detailed report on progress made in relation to the agreed consultation with residents in the cul de sac in the vicinity of 125 Watergate Estate where residents are experiencing ongoing difficulties with park users obstructing residents driveways and the roadway. That this Committee further notes that this issue has been the subject of two previous motions and discussions and a number of Traffic Management Meetings with no contact with residents being made despite commitments given and the prospect of the matter becoming a bigger issue during the spring and summer months.

That the Members of the Clondalkin Area Committee agree to implement a poster ban within to be agreed boundaries of Clondalkin Village to include election, meeting posters etc. This motion is submitted in an effort to encourage the efforts of the newly formed 'Tidy Towns' group.
