"There are three schools on the Newcastle road (Lucan Community College, Scoil Áine Naofa and St. Thomas’) which are currently working on the preparation of their separate planning applications for their school extensions which it is expected will include a traffic assessment study. This committee asks the CEO, in the light of the history of the Newcastle Road, to facilitate an informal consultation with the elected members which would provide an opportunity for observations and suggestions that could help inform the process at an early stage."

"That the Council initiate the necessary process to install gates, to replace the bollards which prevents through traffic but does not deter anti-social behaviour and were installed four years ago as an experiment, at the Eastern end of the Laneway between Kennelsfort Road and the Coppice."

"That the Chief Executive examine the possibility of installing zebra crossing’s at the roundabout on the Griffeen road/Esker road which would link the two Griffeen parks providing a continuous pedestrian and cycling route through the 3 sections of the Griffeen parks. These two pedestrian crossing and the pedestrian crossing planned at Arthur Griffith park would then mean that every exit of the Griffeen parks would have a pedestrian crossing allowing easier and safer access and considering the amount of schools in the areas it will also make access to school a lot safer."

"That this council acknowledges the effort made by the Griffeen shopping business’s and the efforts made to maintain certain parts of the complex and keeping them litter free, there are however areas opposite Moyglass estate which are not maintained to the same standard. This committee asks that the council formally engages with the centre business’s to agree a solution to the litter problem in this specific area."

That this Tallaght Area Committee calls on the Chief Executive to take action to progress the delivery of the long promised Playground at Tymon Park, Tallaght, appreciating the view of the community, that work on the Playground should not be further delayed and in responding to the Motion will the Chief Executive please detail the new schedule now being followed.

"That a full drainage inspection is carried out and any works necessary completed, before construction begins on the 40 new houses off Ballyboden Road.  Sewage overflows have been reported twice in 6 months all around the Boden Park/Owendoher Haven areas and this will only get worse when more houses are relying on the system."

The stone sign indicating the entrance to Tallaght at the N81 coming from Templeogue towards Tallaght village is an eyesore.  The state of it has been raised several times - please advise whether we can have the weeds cut away completely and planting done on this area, with maintenance carried out regularly.
