An amount was allocated in last year’s budgets for the provision of new digital speed indicators. Can details be given of where these speed indicators have been provided or, if not yet provided, on the proposed locations for these indicators and when they are likely to be installed?
"As part of the Public Realm Improvement Works Programme, a capital spend was agreed for a new path at the Astro Turf pitches in Tymon Park. Could we have an update on when this is likely to be done?"
There is a perception among the public that Council’s throughout the Country have significantly more funds available since the introduction of Property Tax in 2013. Can a breakdown be provided relating to South Dublin County Council for each of the last 10 years outlining funding received from both sources, separately - the Local Government Fund and Property Tax?
"For over a year, the principal and Board of Management of Our Lady’s school have been requesting a review of the junction outside the school on Templeogue Road in terms of its safety for all road users. The junction is in the jurisdiction of Dublin City Council.
Could the Traffic section, on behalf of this area committee, write to their counterpart in Dublin City Council to request an update and could a report be provided on the matter?"

"Firhouse Educate Together National School (FETNS) is losing two teachers at the end of October as the school do not meet the required pupil teacher ratio set out by the Department of Education. Forty four per cent (44%) of the children, or 76 out of the 171 children enrolled in this school, require additional attention. This is a hugely disproportionate number compared to other schools.
Firhouse Educate Together new National School building has a Special Needs Unit but cannot be opened as the Department of Education has requested that Firhouse Educate Together National School use this space to accommodate pupils from the neighbouring Gaelscoil Na Giúise for most of the remainder of the 2017/18 academic year.
As this school has a special set of circumstances, an exception needs to be made, we request that the Chief Executive write to the Department of Education asking for a review of the particulars of this case."

"To ask the Chief Executive, in the most recent replies to my representations, I’ve noticed that a lot more emphasis is being put on the Social Credit Scheme and I am looking for some clarity.
I understand the scheme in principle but am looking for a bit more guidance on it. I would like to know how credits will be administered? Also, areas that don’t have a Residents’ Association, or a Residents Association that is not registered, may struggle to amass credits. I am wondering how the Social Credit system will affect them?"
