"To ask the Chief Executive has the Council any plans to develop the site at Cushlawn Estate. This site is directly behind Tallaght Travellers and is bordered by Whitestown Road and Kiltipper way. It is a constant source of illegal dumping and abuse to horses who are being tethered there in inhumane conditions. Would the Council not think of allotments in the interim."

"That this Committee agree to provide the school with a lollipop lady for safety reasons, with 400 children leaving Scoil Mhuire at the same time after school, the principal, parents and the board of management are extremely anxious for the safety of these children with the flow of cars very heavy at that time also."

"That TAC supports the meeting and walk of the lands in the vacinity of the Kilnamanagh Community Centre organised for 1:30pm on Monday 29th of January from the Centre with a view to working with Neighbourhood Watch, the GAA & Soccer Club plus the Residents Association and any other relevant party to look at how best to develop the facilities in that Corner of Kilnamanagh and cut across the area being used for anti-social activities."

Land Use and Density 2.1

Affordable Housing*

All development shall comply with the requirements of Part v of the Planning and Development Act, 2000-2016 (as amended) and with the South Dublin County Council Housing Strategy with regards to the provision of Affordable Housing (if further amended).

In accordance with the Section 168 (4) of the Planning and Development Act 2000-2016 (as amended), the following are the stated objectives for the Planning Scheme:

  • To apply a maximum of 25% affordable housing requirement, pursuant to Part V of the Planning and Development Act 2000-2016 (as amended) to all sites in the planning Scheme that are solely for residential use.

  • To promote social integration and facilitate a diverse range of dwellings tenures within housing developments, including affordable housing: and

  • To ensure an appropriate distribution of the new affordable housing, and to avoid an excessive concentration of affordable housing

*Affordable housing design to have similar exterior design to other dwellings located within the adjacent area with any reducing of spec to be contained internally

Car Park Spaces 2.2.6

Underground car park to be designed within the SDZ plan. Having a no car design will result in in an increase in “buy to let” which would lead to high turnover in tenancy and therefore creating an environment where community formation would become difficult to achieve.

Pg. 33 Section 2.2.6 Paragraph 2 to add in the following line:

Underground car park spaces to be provided in high density areas allowing for the option of resident car parking and/or renting of spaces.
