"Can the Chief Executive inform this Committee on what is the Council's policy when a tenant has to leave a Council property due to fire and cannot return to their home. What supports are in place to accommodate these families?"

Motion
Meeting:
Submitted by:
Councillor V. Casserly

Tony O Grady

"That this Area Committee commends the efforts of staff during the recent snow storm but calls on the Chief Executive to explore options that we could include in future plans to clear priority pedestrian pathways for wheelchair users whom were isolated in the days and weeks during and after the storm. Whilst there were fantastic efforts to clear roads, snow/ice was moved in mounds blocking all dished kerbs which is creating ongoing difficulties."

Motion

That this Area Committee call on the Chief Executive to give an updated report on the development of Esker Celtic Frame Football Pitch."

"That this Area Committee notes that some lighting in Palmerstown has been upgraded which is very welcome. Can the Chief Executive inform this LAC what plans are in train to continue the upgrade and to note residents complaints regarding poor lighting on many roads, especially in the "Estates" between the Oval and Kennelsfort Road e.g. Turret Road, Wheatfield Road etc."

Motion

Councillor G. O'Connell
Responsibility:
Mary Maguire

"That this Area Committee requests the Chief Executive provide a report into the situation of the house (address provided), which the Council was in the process of taking over as a derelict site and which is again returning to an even worse state and is the focal point for a lot of anti-social activity."

Question
Meeting:
Submitted by:
Councillor G. O'Connell
Responsibility:
Colm Ward

"To ask the Chief Executive for a progress update on the proposed Liffey Valley Blueway?"

Question
Meeting:
Submitted by:
Councillor G. O'Connell
Responsibility:
Sheila Kelly

"To ask the Chief Executive if there has been any response to my motion agreed at the January LAC as follows “This committee requests that the Council contact the owners to Liffey Valley Shopping Centre to get them to bring their signs for “Palmerstown” into line with the correct spelling of the name and secondly write to the NRA and ask that they bring their signs on the M50 and N4 into line with the correct spelling of “Palmerstown”. There is much local concern that four years after the plebiscite to restore the correct place name and spelling, publically funded bodies continue to ignore the wishes of the people or indeed display good practice.”

Question
Meeting:
Submitted by:
Councillor G. O'Connell
Responsibility:
William Purcell

"To ask the Chief Executive for a response to my motion agreed at the December LAC as follows “That a review be carried out into the manner in which requests by local residents (the subject of several motions and questions of mine over the years) for a 3.5T restriction on Kennelsfort Rd, and on the “Cell” between the R148 at the Oval and Kennelsfort road, have been handled. In particular why has An Garda Siochana vetoed the decision of the full Council (July 2015) to have a 3.5T restriction on Kennelsfort Rd when they have apparently agreed a 3.5T restriction on the City Council controlled continuation of the same Rd named on their side as Ballyfermot Road and why has An Garda Siochana not responded to the decision of this LAC (November 2016 Item ID: 51367) to impose a 3.5T restriction on the cell between the Oval and Kennelsfort Road. And that a full report be brought before this LAC for consideration at the February meeting at the latest.” It is now a month overdue."
