Following a motion passed in this council where we agreed to write to Dublin Bus / NTA requesting the installation of adequate lighting at bus shelter in Lucan area, could solar lights be considered as a way of providing adequate lighting whilst been environmentally friendly.
This committee calls on the Chief Executive, on foot of the feasibility study into the Silver Bridge, to enter into firm negotiations with Fingal Council to formulate a plan for bringing the bridge into use by pedestrians and cyclists and not just seek to preserve the historic bridge, and, include in the process the procurement for public use the land on the South of the River that will facilitate the practical use of th Bridge as an impotent piece of Liffey Valley Greenway.

This committee recognises the work to date spent on setting up a new LPF for the Lucan area and asks that the Chief Executive commits to supporting the introduction of this new LPF which had been welcomed and agreed by all and would serve the area well.
Whilst the matter is been consider via the JPC this committee seeks to have in place an interim LPF committee in such way that would accommodate council resources and also greater use of local garda from the Lucan station.

This council calls of Chief Executive to engage with members of the community, including the local Tidy towns and local residents in regard to an open space of land east of ‘Clonard’, Lucan-Newlands Road, Esker North, (next to Brookvale land) (this land is currently open green space, section of the land is fenced off, with a number of trees on the land which have been felled, as a result of examinations carried out) with a view to resolving the issue that has come to light recently and addressing concerns brought to our attention.
