On behalf of Kingswood Residents Association Can SDCC review remaining ruins in Ballymount Park of Ballymount Castle from William Parsons build in 1622 that are covered by the same thick Ivy and bushes just meters from the gatehouse, with a view of highlighting the historical value and rich history of Ballymount Park - installation of signage for the public to see and also have it added onto South Dublin County Council heritage app. Ballymount Gatehouse and Castle ruins should be exposed and be the gateway to Tallaght given it's location, history and condition

That this Area Committee asks the Council to write to the Department of Defence to investigate how to widen Aylmer Road (near Peamount FC junction) in order to remove bad bends and improve road safety as well as providing traffic-congestion relief in Newcastle village by allowing more people to use this route to gain access to Greenogue.

That the Chief Executive carry out an audit on Finnstown greens re adequate street lights. A motion was passed previously to meet with residents in the Finnstown area to carry out an audit on the street lights which were replaced some years back, which resulted in parts been reduced to darkness. It is hoped that additional/improved lighting can be implemented.

This committee requests that the Chief Executive arrange a separate meeting for local Councillors regarding the proposed amendments on the Adamstown SDZ. The request arises from the many questions I have received regarding the proposed amendments, and further explanation regarding timelines involved, are necessary.

That the Chief Executive takes on board the suggestions of members and examines ways of linking and enhancing the communities in Rowlagh and Balgaddy along the Balgaddy Road and adjacent interface with the Fonthill Road over the next five years, to make the area more cohesive and community-orientated, including ideas for landmark buildings, infill housing, community facilities, retail options pocket forests, artworks and other potential schemes ahead of further housing construction in Balgaddy and the completion of the community building.
