This committee welcomes the 12th Lock plans and looks forward to part 8 plans going on display. Its been discussed at various meetings the demand for crèche facilities in the Lucan area and this question seeks commitment from Chief Executive that crèche will be part of the part 8 plans.

That the Chief Executive reports on the number of outdoor basketball court areas currently available in this Area Committee Area, to outline given demands by young people in particular for such facilities, whether new full size court areas can be provided, along with additional solo hoops, as even casual players require two scoring areas for a proper game; and if a statement can be made on the matter.

That the Council provides an update on recorded derelict properties in Palmerstown, North Clondalkin and Lucan in terms of actions taken over the last five years to get these properties functional again, to report on cases that have been resolved as a result of enforcement action over the last 12 months; to clarify if properties where there is someone living, but are overgrown to a neglectful level with trees in gardens towering over neighbouring dwellings can be considered for such a register of derelict properties, or if separate action is required; and if a statement can be made on the matter.
