To ask the Chief Executive For a report into how many council homes have been built since 2019 and projection to end of current council term?
To ask the Chief Executive For a report into occupancy for Family Hubs in SDCC and average stay?
To ask the Chief Executive Has SDCC any plans for additional family hubs?
To ask the Chief Executive would he look at the entrance to Monastery Gate, and the stretch of road from the Woodford Hill Roundabout to the Ibis Roundabout that is very dark and consider if there are any plans by the Council or anything the Council could do to improve this?
To ask the Chief Executive when tree prunning for Monastery Gate is scheduled?
To ask the Chief Executive to provide an update as to what signage is in place and will be put in place in the County's parks pertaining to keeping dogs under control to keep all park users safe.
To ask the Chief Executive as the number of public lights still in need of repair, the expected waiting time for repair, factors leading to this and when it is expected for normal service to resume.
To ask the Chief Executive as to the plans to improve cycling and walking access to the Royal Canal from Lucan/St Catherines park, specifically with regard to Collins Bridge?
That this Area Committee acknowledges Clondalkin Helping Homeless and Those in Need volunteers efforts as the group enters its tenth year.
All the Volunteers over the last ten years have given there time and commitment to helping those less fortunate.
Clondalkin Helping Homeless and those in Need has evolved over time and currently provides the following services:
1) Weekly FoodBank for local families / People in need in Dublin Mid-West - People call 11-1 for food, deliveries done by volunteers as needed or outside foodbank times.
2) FoodCloud - Tesco's give us food at sell by date food for immediate distribution and damaged goods for foodbank as they have available a few nights a week.
3) Emergency service - Sleeping bags / Tents and supplies given as needed, we encourage them to access outreach person and services.
4) Start Up Packs - start up basics like kettle, cups , bowls etc to people just moving to a new home awaiting a grant and anything they need
5) CHH endeavours to provide Toys at Christmas, Easter eggs at Easter and Fruit and goodies at Halloween etc
That this Area Committee asks Clondalkin Library to do a display that is a celebration of well known local women (display could include Katharine Tynan, Mary Kennedy, Hannah Tyrrell, Anne Frances Caldbeck) for this years Clondalkin Brigid's Festival.
While acknowledging St Brigid as the fierce yet protective and creative goddess Brigit and the Gaelic festival of Imbolc, we celebrate all woman and we also request that there is also a talk on Women around the festival.
That this Area Committee asks that SDCC assist the Brigid's Festival Committee in lighting up the Round Tower with an image for the festival (to be supplied by the committee) and to outline what's involved and to work with the committee in looking at getting other local buildings lit up next year.
That this Area Committee calls on the Chief Executive to address the flooding at the following locations and to outline a plan to address the issues
1) The turn to R136 at Kilcarberry,
2) The turn at side of Michael collins turning from New Nangor road onto the Ninth Lough Road,
3) The top of the Old Nangor road opposite Irish School and beside back of Cherrywood Villas.
That this Council call on the Department for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth to meet with this Council and elected members to discuss the provision of International Protection Accommodation Services, and ancillary services, in the County.
That this Area Committee calls on the Minister for Justice And the Government to introduce legislation that makes it an offence to protest outside someones home or place of residence within a minimum of 100ft and also an offence to obstruct a person from entering there home or place of residence.
