That this Area Committee requests the Chief Executive to examine the feasibility of introducing a public bicycle rental / bike-share scheme within the Lucan area including potential locations along the Grand Canal Greenway, Lucan Village, local parks, Adamstown and nearby public transport hubs such as train stations to support the significant increase in cycling and active travel within the area following the recent canal and public realm improvement works and to consider how such a scheme could facilitate bicycles being hired and returned at different locations to improve local connectivity, sustainable transport options, recreation and first/last mile access for residents and visitors.
To ask the Manager if routine air quality sampling is carried out in the LPNC area, where any test stations might be, and if data is publicly available for the last 3 years?
To ask the Chief Executive if a traffic survey has been carried out in relation to localised congestion on Kennelsfort Road and Coldcut Road due to vehicles queuing to turn right at the Silver Granite onto Wheatfield Road; and if a statement can be made on the matter.
That SDCC undertake a public information campaign utilising social media, website, community newsletters and other relevant mediums to convey the message that dumping domestic garden waste is illegal and highlight the process by which community groups and individuals caring for areas of the public space can have this waste collected.

To ask the Manager for details of public events planned for Lucan House, Lucan Demesne, Lucan Village, Lucan Promenade and Weir for the summer months and into the Autumn?
To ask for a definite date when access to the weir area of Lucan promenade will be fully restored to the public, which has been closed off for a prolonged period, and exactly what further measures are planned and remain outstanding in the area of Lucan Bridge.
To ask the Chief Executive to clarify whether the current waiting list for Lucan Swimming Pool & Gym, operated by Aura Leisure, is due to capacity constraints, or if there are other operational factors involved, and if a statement can be provided on the matter.
That SDCC secure the boundary of the newly seeded pitch in Glenaulin Park to prevent unauthorised access by electric off road bikes and others while the ground settles.
That the Chief Executive arrange for the completion of the cycle lane on the Northern side of Ballyowen Road L1042 between Ballyowen estate and the roundabout at Ballyowen Lane.
That this Area Committee calls on the Chief Executive to arrange for the urgent cutting back and maintenance of the overgrown hedging on Ballyowen Lane between Ballyowen Hall and Droim na Coille, as the current condition has rendered the footpath impassable, and to restore the pathway to a safe and accessible condition as soon as possible.
That this Area Committee calls on the Chief Executive to repair the cable fault between Street Light 7 and Street Light 8 on Elderwood Road in Palmerstown, in order to prevent constant tripping and restore full functionality to the street lighting.
