That this Council recognises the pressing need and strategic importance of a direct rail link from the Lucan, Clondalkin and Adamstown areas to the City Centre; and directs the Chief Executive to make provision in the Development Plan to support delivery of such a link; and to further include appropriate policies, objective and actions which would generally limit any significant further residential development along the Kildare rail line (other than development currently permitted or allowed under a current statutory plan) until a direct rail link to the City Centre is provided.
That the Council directs the Chief Executive to include a policy on the Pedestrian Cycle Routes should be landscaped in a biodiversity friendly manner with educational signage about biodiversity.
The County Development Plan will seek to discourage the inclusion of communal areas in public and private multi-unit developments in favour of ‘on street front doors’
That this Council develops facilities to cater for the young adults/teenagers in Lucan and Palmerstown, such as youth clubs/café.
That this Council inserts a specific objective in the Development plan to facilitate fast and affordable broadband solutions in new public and private housing developments, ensuring that developers provide the infrastructure necessary to allow such a provision.
The Council utilises existing land banks for a nursery for tree and shrubs for the County, possibly located adjacent to allotments and or a municipal composting facility.
That the core strategy be directed to reflect the County’s prioritisation of tourism and should include the provision of tourism accommodation to support the utilisation of the natural assets of the County, provide economic benefits and enhance sensitive landscape and conservation assets.
Update on Litter problem - Tallaght Area
That the Council directs the CEO to make provision for the enactment of a geothermal resource in Newcastle in the County Development Plan.
That this Council directs the Chief Executive to ensure the protection of existing open green spaces in our County, including the protection of all playing pitches on open green spaces; and to generally limit any new non-recreational development on currently-zoned open green spaces
Land-Use/Transport Planning
That this Council directs the Chief Executive to include in the new Development Plan an appropriate new policy, objectives and actions to require that proposals or applications for new residential development must, in order to be granted permission, demonstrate that sufficient, realistic and verifiable levels of public transport carrying capacity and road capacity will be provided for, in a sustainable, phased manner, so as to cater for all new trips to be generated by the development.

That this Council directs the Chief executive to ensure the whole county has optimal Broadband, fibre, and 4G connectivity to support business growth and to alleviate social exclusion amongst residents living in more rural parts of our county.
To build enterprise centres with small serviced incubation units in suitable selected areas throughout the County, in order to encourage and help small business start-ups to get off the ground.
That the plan will ensure that signage and advertisement within our historic villages is sensitive to architectural design and compliments same and further ensures that no inappropriate signage is permitted such as flashing lights and oversized signs.
That this Council ensures Tallaght, as the County town, is robustly supported in establishing its Tidy Town Committee.
Residential housing development should not only cater for first time buyers (Single demographic), senior citizen provision and other demographic should be integrated providing sustainable community development.
That this Council supports the provision of public transport links between existing rail and LUAS lines and nearby communities and that this strategic objective be reflected in the County’s Development Plan.
That this Council directs the CEO to make provision for the creation of meadow public parklands across the County including in Saggart, Co. Dublin near the Millrace entrance to Rathcoole Park.
Takeaways near schools
That this Council directs the Chief Executive to include an appropriate new policy, objectives and actions in the Development Plan to strictly control the development of new takeaways in close proximity to schools by including a requirement to consider the impact on child health and wellbeing; noting particularly the June 2013 ‘Local Area Plans Guidelines for Planning Authorities’ which state that “Planning also has an important role to play in promoting and facilitating active and healthy living patterns for local communities” and that planning “can promote active and healthier lifestyles by ensuring that… exposure of children to the promotion of foods that are high in fat, salt or sugar is reduced such as the careful consideration of the appropriateness and or location of fast food outlets in the vicinity of schools and parks.”

That this Council directs the Chief executive to consider the development of additional Enterprise/innovation/incubation hubs North and South of the County to encourage and support new business development across the entire county.
