"That this Committee expresses dissatisfaction at the level of maintenance of the area within the M50 as despite representations from members of this committee and members of the public, grass cutting on the R148 and other public areas, refurbishment of the Pedestrian Bridge, replacement of PalmersTON signage etc remain unattended to. The retail site at the entrance to the Village is very untidy looking and the general appearance of what is a gateway to the County leaves a lot to be desired and undermines the good work of the voluntary local Tidy Towns workers."

"That the Chief Executive, as part of any traffic management upgrade of the Griffeen Avenue area, would specifically examine the pedestrian crossing along this route beside Griffeen Glen, as residents have reported persistent ignoring of the signs by certain motorists to the extent that it is now a danger for younger and older pedestrians in particular, or those with buggies; to outline best practice in dealing with similar situations elsewhere in Ireland; and if a statement could be made on the matter."

"To ask the Chief Executive for a report based in CCTV and other surveillance supports on the monitoring of traffic in both directions on Kennelsfort Road and the roads between Kennelsfort Road and the Oval to ascertain the destination of traffic especially those vehicles that exceed the 7.5T limit and that a discussion take place on the hazards posed by the current level and type of traffic on these roads given that it is predominantly a residential area and the policy of this Council to promote cycling and walking."
