That a Specific Local Objective be included, applying to the former Vincent Byrne site in Palmerstown, at the junction of the R148 & Kennelsfort Road, which is zoned ‘VC’, as follows: “To preserve the character of Palmerstown Village by limiting any future development on this site which is the subject of new applications to three storeys in height; and two storeys where it backs or side onto adjoining two storey housing.”

The following Objective to be inserted in the 2016 - 2022 County Development Plan ref 6.4.2 (P 109) TM Policy 5 and Policy 6, given the proximity of the Liffey Valley Town Centre to Palmerstown, North Clondalkin and South Lucan and the fact that the road network serving the Town Centre is very inadequate leading to the need to “retro-fit” the area for the increasing level of traffic generated by the Town Centre, which will become even more acute when the Town Centre reaches its potential for development: OBJECTIVE A Local Area Plan for the Liffey Valley Town Centre that also incorporates the Palmerstown, North Clondalkin and South Lucan communities and that takes full account of the need to regulate motorised traffic within these communities relative to the Liffey Valley Town Centre will be conducted no later than two years after the 2016- 2022 County Development Plan is approved.

The following objective to be inserted in the 2016 - 2022 County Development Plan ref 2.2.1 (P 32) and 2.2.3 (P 34) H Policy 7 so as to ensure that any new development, or renovations to existing buildings will support, enhance, protect and promote the rich heritage of Palmerstown Village and community: OBJECTIVE that any future development of both residential and/or commercial developments in Palmerstown Village and the greater Palmerstown Area shall not be higher than or in excess of three stories in height.

To amend the opening part of ‘H2 Objective 1’ to add the words highlighted in bold: “To ensure that sufficient zoned land, serviced by sufficient public transport and road capacity, continues to be available….”
On page 108 Amend 6.6 Western Dublin Orbital Route (north), removing typos and adding additional text to read: Major regional link between the N7 to N4. Any further connections, and a possible alternative route to the west of Leixlip and/or Celbridge, will be determined in consultation with Kildare and Fingal County Councils, the National Roads Authority and the National Transport Authority. The primary objective of South Dublin County Council in this regard shall be to protect the scenic Liffey Valley parklands and amenities at Lucan Demesne and St Catherine’s by restricting any road bridge at this location while giving consideration to the possibility of a tunnel.

That 2.1.2 include an Objective or an SLO in relation to the development of a retirement village in Ballynakelly, Newcastle
The following Objective to be inserted in the 2016 - 2022 County Development Plan ref 6.4.1. (P104) TM Policy 4, given the need to provide relief for both the M50 and the N4 and to alleviate traffic congestion in the greater Lucan/Clondalkin/Palmerstown areas: The proposal to provide a bridge and associated road across the Liffey Valley at Cooldrinagh will be deleted from the draft plan and instead, South Dublin County Council in association with the NRA and Kildare County Council, will provide a relief road West of Grangecastle and Adamstown linking the N7 and the M4 west of Leixlip.
