That this Committee calls on the Chief Executive to ensure that prices at the Lucan swimming pool and leisure centre are reduced via subvention, as current listed Aura Leisure prices show that PAYG and annual membership will be significantly higher than other public facilities such as Clondalkin and indeed some private operators and that this goes against the spirit of what is supposed to be community rather than a commercial facility, even allowing for a "sinking fund" to pay for maintenance costs down the line.
"Given the high level of canister abuse can SDCC run a pilot educational programme in Tallaght or produce a fact sheet to highlight the impact this is having on our community - highlight the health risks, hospital admissions etc?"
"That the manager examine existing road markings at the roundabout outside Tallaght University Dublin on the Belgard Rd and ensure that all steps are taken, in advance of more significant works, to ensure cyclist safety is prioritised. Road markings for the bicycle only lane, and the transition to shared bicycle and traffic lane are currently very unclear, indistinguishable in colour from the general road and likely adding to the dangers of on- road cycling paths?"
To ask the Chief Executive to provide a timeline for the commencement of work on refreshing the road markings on Slade Road. It has been agreed by the Traffic Team that this work needs to be done.
