"That this Committee calls on the Chief Executive to carry out an inspection of the boundary wall at the rear of 55 Westpark and carry out any necessary works to make the wall safe. This wall is very badly damaged and is a danger to the children who play in the green space in this area. The wall was previously examined and my understanding is that works were scheduled but no repairs have yet taken place to date."

"That this Area Committee calls on the Chief Executive to prioritise low-cost road safety improvements along Lucan Road during 2017 in a bid to improve safe walking and cycling routes to the five schools in the Lucan Road/Chapel Hill area; including examining:

- Provision of improved kerbing and guard-railing (at narrowest footpath locations) along the footpath on the northern side of Lucan Road;

- Improvements to the footpath surface and kerbing in the vicinity of the pedestrian crossing and island at the top of Chapel Hill;

- A more stringent enforcement approach to the parking of vehicles ‘for sale’ on fooptaths along Lucan Road;

- Provision of addition safe drop-off spaces outside St. Mary’s Boy NS so as to provide an alternative to unsafe parking on footpaths."
