Due to the number of Termination of Tenancy notices served by Tuath Housing on the Transitional Tenants in Tallaght Cross for over holding on their 18 month lease, that this Council engage with Tuath Housing and the Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government, Eoghan Murphy and confirm that homeless people in Transitional Housing will not be pursued through the Residential Tenancies Board and that any actions involving the RTB and Tuath Housing at the Tallaght Cross units be withdrawn.
That South Dublin County Council supports the extension of Metro North from Charlemont to Knocklyon and the connection of the red Luas from Tallaght to Booterstown. The Metro extension to Knocklyon would be connected from Charlemont to Knocklyon via Harolds Cross, Terenure and Rathfarnham. The Tallaght to Booterstown Luas link would create a much-needed south orbital route connecting 5 rail links into the city (ie the existing red and green line Luas, the proposed Knocklyon and UCD Metro and the existing Dart at Booterstown - other stops are indicated on the attached maps).
"A search of land registry folios on-line suggests that this Council does not own all of the plots of land (see attached maps) in each folio that makes up the Green areas in Kilnamanagh bordering on the M50/Ballymount exit. Can the Council confirm if it owns the land inside the boundary wall of Kilnamanagh in folios DN187F, DN71065F in particular?"
"To ask the Chief Executive to issue a report to explain why it has taken so long for 'repairs' into the Clondalkin Boardwalk. Bearing in mind this issue was highlighted by the Tidy Towns National adjudicator in June and communicated separately by Clondalkin Tidy Towns to SDCC. What is the delay and when will work be finished? What has been the costs involved in the Boardwalk and its repairs?"

"That this Area Committee calls on a full audit of footpaths to be done in Monastery Estate (trees have lifted footpaths and there are large holes on footpaths, also patch up jobs done in some place by service companies). The Current condition of the footpaths are a significant health and safety risk. We ask that an Audit is carried out and that work identified as needing done is carried out as a matter of urgency."

That this Area Committee requests a report on the apiary in Mill Lane, Palmerstown. Since it’s implementation there has been repeated requests to provide local honey in the area. This committee examines possibility of introducing one into the Lucan area, possibly along the Liffey River/Valley and could such project be part of the Blue Way plans.
That this Area Committee requests the Chief Executive write An Garda Siochana asking for a report on how many fines (if any) have been issued in relation to those driving through The HGV restricted area along the Newcastle Road. In addition, to ask Chief Executive to make comment on whether there will be increased use of HGV along the R120 when the road widening/upgrade is completed?

That this Area Committee requests the Chief Executive provide assistance to Weston Hockey Club in both support of maintenance works and financial. The pitch has suffered some damage in areas due to various factors This includes issues with drainage, lack of natural sunshine, etc. This facility has increased usage over the last few years where various clubs are on the pitch everyday up to 10pm+ weekends, making full use of the facility. The club has had the damaged assessed and a detail report can be provided.
"Following our discussions last year around the hedging at Earlsfort Lawns, to ask the Chief Executive if it can be trimmed back now before breeding season begins? This has recently been requested by the Gardaí also as they have indicated anti- social behaviour is taking place there."

That this Area Committee, should a motion be passed, write to the Department of Education to get an update regarding the eight schools in Lucan that were found to have defects that needed repair, if that work was carried successfully, and if not finished when it will be finished.
With recent anti-social behaviour taking place in Lucan, that this Area Committee invite a spokesperson from An Garda Siochana in to discuss what we can do collectively to help combat future incidents.
