That the Lucan/Clondalkin Area Committee requests the Manager to write to An Taoiseach calling on the Government to negotiate with National Toll Roads to suspend the collection of tolls and keep the barriers open for the duration of the M50 Upgrade Project in view of the projected increase in traffic volumes arising from the opening of the Port Tunnel and pending the introduction of electronic tolling as provided for in the approval given for the M50 Upgrade Project.

That the Manager would report on the unsatisfactory and in parts dangerous state of repairs on the footpaths in Lucan Village, an example of which includes many sections of footpaths extending from Allied Irish Banks to Toolans Bookmakers. These works were originally part of the Lucan Village Renewal Programme, but have clearly fallen into a state of disrepair. Would the Manager also report as to whether the contractor engaged in the original works is responsible for the repairs of these footpaths or has the Council to incur the additional budgetry costs associated with such repair works.

Would the Manager please report in detail on the extent of the works recently commenced adjacent to Gaelscoil Naomh Phádraig on the road reservation between Esker Meadow Estate and Esker Park. These lands were previously cleared, levelled and proteced by adequate boundary walls and gates following prolonged representations. It is critical that these lands are returned to their previous state when such current works, if authorised, are completed.
