That this Committee calls on the Manager to install a no litter notice on the open space at Orwell Park Rd opposite Orwell Park Shopping Centre. This area is a serious litter black spot, despite the ongoing clean ups by local residents.
That this Committee calls on the Manager to arrange for an extensive clean-up of the Roadside and verges along Kiltipper Way and Whitestown Way.
That the Manager in light of recent significant increases in staff numbers arising from the sale of SDCC Waste Collection service, ensure the provision of a litter/cleansing corps dedicated to the maintenance and prompt cleansing of public open spaces, roadside margins, footpaths and blackspot flytipping areas within the RAPID areas of Tallaght thereby ensuring the same quality of environment and public realm enjoyed in all other areas of the county.
Could the Manager advise this Committee if, in the absence of funding to supply new litter bins, it is possible to relocate existing Litter Bins to more appropriate locations where litter is a problem on routes travelled by pedestrians?

Motions
That this Committee call on the Manager to acknowledge Robbie Keane's unique record of being the first Irish or British player to score over 50 goals in International football. In recognition of this extraordinary achievement by a citizen of the County and considering his position as a positive role model to all young people in Tallaght and beyond, this Committee suggests that consideration should be given to naming a stand in Tallaght Stadium the "Robbie Keane Stand" to acknowledge his remarkable talents and achievements.
That the Manager ensures that appropriate signage is put in place to ensure sufficient public awareness of CCTV cameras operating with the RAPID areas of Tallaght.
That this Committee in the interests of promoting soccer and healthy pro-social activities for young people in West Tallaght strongly reasserts its commitment to ensure a waiver of pitch fees for soccer teams emanating from the West Tallaght RAPID areas, and requests the Manager to address this in a sustainable way going forward as opposed to the ad hoc approach adopted to date in implementing this policy.
