To ask the Manager are there any plans for a link road from the top of Cappaghmore Northwest towards the Cloverhill Road?
To ask the Manager responsible to have the additional lights I requested earlier this year erected in the laneway between Culmore Road and Palmerstown Drive?
To ask the Manager responsible to bring a report on pedestrian safety in Lucan Village to an early meeting of this Area Committee and in particular to indicate how pedestrian friendly the footpath is between Tandy’s Lane and Ball Alley, especially if a person is pushing a buggy, how safe it is to cross the road from (close to Maxol) to the Lucan Demesne and how safe it is to cross the road at the Bus Stop in the Village and what action is proposed to really promote people to move from their cars and walk to and around Lucan?
To ask the Manager for an updated report on repairs and renovations to footpaths in Lucan, under the Footpath Refurbishment Programme and otherwise during 2008?
To ask the Manager for an updated report on the request of Moyglass Residents Association for an improved boundary treatment on two sections of the Outer Ring Road at their estate, and if he will make a statement on the matter, including the estimate of the Council of the cost of carrying out the works requested by the Association?

That the Manager would report on what improvements or adjustments have been made, or have been agreed to be made on an area by area basis to boundary issues as a result of representations made to the local authority by elected councillors, residents, residents associations, community groups etc., on issues relating to road widening programmes in the Lucan area affecting peoples quality of life, most especially on the N4, M50 and Outer Ring Road.
The Lucan Clondalkin Area Committee calls on the Manager to exercise the right of this Council to act on behalf of the citizens and restrict access to the laneway between Kennelsfort Road and the Coppice by the erection of a locked gate at either end and that the Council provide each household that has access to the laneway with a key under a licence to be drawn up thus enabling only those who have a legitimate right to be in the laneway access to the laneway and that the Council continue to maintain the laneway as heretofore as the laneway is used as a rat run by motorists, is being used for fly tipping and the option of closing it as a right of way as provided for in the act is not feasible and the residents concerned have already petitioned to have unauthorised traffic excluded and have requested that the Council act on their behalf and have indicated that they would be prepared to contribute to the costs, and that a realistic timescale be set for this work to be completed. This is but one of a number of such laneways in the Palmerstown Area and can be used as a pilot project for some of the others. These laneways form an integral part of the residential amenities and were designed to give access to the back gardens of terraced houses. However, these laneways have become the focus of all kinds of anti social activity and a constant source of worry and stress to adjacent residents and as they now stand are not the asset they were intended to be. After more than 15 years of exploring options it is now time to act on behalf of the long suffering residents.
This Committee recommends to South Dublin County Council that the slip road from New Road to the Fonthill Road, Clondalkin be widened so as to allow for two lanes of traffic in the approach to the Fonthill Road with one going the opposite direction.
That the Manager explain the delay in the opening of the Cloverhill Bridge. How much more money is this costing the tax payer? Can the Manager put up a map of Cloverhill Road, New Nangor Road, Park West Road, Fonthill Road, and the N4?
That this Committee notes that residents of Hillcrest Drive have recently expressed concerns about noise associated with the N4 road works at the rere of their road, including recent noise due to machinery working in the very early hours of the morning, notes the Manager's Report on a Motion at the June 18 Area Committee meeting (Question No.5, Item No. 15613) including the statement at the end of the second last paragraph of the Report, that "the situation will be kept under review" and asks the Manager to provide an updated report on the matter.
That the Manager would present a detailed report for discussion on what adjustments are proposed for the section of the Outer Ring Road between the Ballyowen/Willsbrook intersection and the junction at Woodies, as a result of repeated representations, including from residents, and as outlined in detail at a meeting with Road's Department Officials and a local resident some months ago, and representations I have made to Traffic Management Meetings, to help resolve the growing number of traffic issues at this location as listed.
That the Manager would have a ramp placed on the Peamount Road, Newcastle, just before traffic enters the built up area so as to slow down vehicles.
That the Manager make the necessary arrangements to allow the motorists in Clondalkin to use the bus lanes at specific times.
That the Manager would report on the pending road closure from Tandy's Lane (Dodsboro Road) onto the N4, north of the N4, as a result of the granting of planning permission for the N4 Road Widening Works by An Bord Pleanála, and what consequences does the Manager envisage for traffic flows in and around the Lucan village area, particularly at peak times.

That the Manager present a report as to what can be done to close the access from 53 Newlands Road to Joel's/Naas Road, Clondalkin.
That this Committee notes a report at the previous Local Area Committee(1) that it is intended to have Foxborough C&D Estate taken in charge in 2009, re-asserts its view that, in the context of the Council not succeeding in having the developer complete the treatment of the boundary walls in accordance with the terms of the Planning permission granted for the estate, the Council itself should allocate the necessary financial resources to have a contractor bring the finish of the walls up to the standard originally envisaged and commit to have the necessary works carried out in 2009, and asks the Manager if he could provide the meeting with an estimate of the costs of the proposed work.
That the Manager has a noise and air pollution survey of Kennelsfort Road carried out before any more development is applied for/approved for the Liffey Valley Town Centre and to make the findings known to this Area Committee as soon as they become available and to indicate in the answer when approximately this report will become available.

That this Committee requests the Manager to write to Dublin Bus to ask that the X buses stop on the N4 road city bound, just before and after the pedestrian bridge across from Mount Andrew Estate, for the benefit of the residents on Mt. Andrew, Liffey Valley Park, and all the estates in the Ballyowen area that would benefit from this adjustment.
That the Manager would provide an up-to-date and detailed report following my earlier request for consideration to be give to the establishing of the Lucan Town Council. Given that Lucan is the fastest developing community in Ireland, would the Manager agree that the establishing of the Lucan Town Council would be of significant benefit to the local community.
That this Committee request a meeting with Dublin Bus to discuss the delay in providing Bus Shelters on Kennelsfort Rd and the possibility of re-location of the Bus Stop currently between the Cold Cut and the Cloverhill junctions to Cloverhill Road.
