That this Committee requests the Manager to conduct an Environmental Survey of the general area at the Griffeen Local Centre, Griffeen Glen Estate and Griffeen Valley Educate Together National School, Lucan, and that this survey will include an audit of the number of litter bins installed in the area, including at Bus Stops as I had previously requested in my representations to this Committee Meeting, including on 27th June 2006, 26th September 2006 and 24th October 2006. And that the Manager would report in detail on what recent initiatives he has introduced or will introduce to help alleviate the increases in litter related problems in the area, including the amount of beer cans strewn around the local community, including in local residents gardens.

That this Committee notes the concern of residents about excessive water on the footpath leading from the steps to St Mary's Church car park, at Chapel Hill, which constitutes a hazard for pedestrians, and asks the Manager if he will request the Environmental Services Department to investigate the cause of this excessive flow of water, and in particular if it is due to inadequate provision for surface water drainage from the new apartments development at Chapel View, and make a report on the problem with proposals for its amelioration.
That the Manager in Environmental Services, will report on detail on what measures he will take, including consulting with the Managers in the Planning and Development Departments, to help resolve the dreadful negative effects on the local community in Moy Glas Estate and the wider Lucan Community, owing to the damages to the environment because of open fires being lit regularly, gatherings where public and underage drinking of alcohol take place, and late night noise regularly occurs in the site I have identified in Moy Glas Estate, Lucan , and as depicted in the photographs I have forward to the Manager separately.
