To ask the Manager for a progress report about the Valhalla site on Watery Lane?
To ask the Manager to make a statement about the disappearance of the side entrance of 17 Lindisfarne Lawns and when it will be restored?
To ask the Manager how many houses have been occupied by new tenants in the last year?
To ask the Manager how many new houses will be built this year?
To ask the Manager if he will make an updated report on the Council's plan to achieve 200 units of social housing on the lands disposed by way of swop to Shelbourne Development Ltd and if he will provide a map with his report showing location of the land in question?
To ask the Manager if he can advise as to when the first group of Social Housing units (as distinct from Part V Affordable) in the Adamstown SDZ are expected to come into the possession of the Council for allocation to applicants on the Council's Housing List and if he will make a statement on the matter?

That this Committee notes the decision to grant permission for Planning Application SDZ07A/001, and requests the Manager to make a report on Condition No. 5 of the Permission regarding the provision of Social and Affordable Housing, including details on the numbers and locations of such units to be agreed with the developers.
That the Housing Manager reports on any problems reported at Tor an Rí, Balgaddy regarding carparking spaces being taken over by non residents visiting the area.
That the Manager presents a report indicating when road access will be granted to all the bungalows in Lindisfarne Lawns, Clondalkin.
That the Manager would arrange, following consultation with the RPII and sourcing of measuring instruments, for a survey of Radon gas levels in a small number of older tenants' houses in the Lucan-Clondalkin area and a small number of recently completed Council houses, for the purpose of checking the effectiveness of Radon gas reduction measures installed in new houses in accordance with the building regulations, and as a random check on Radon gas levels in houses in the area?

To ask the Manager to replace the broken trees in Castle Estate and at the Castle Crescent Shopping Centre, Monastery Road and to place the vulnerable trees inside iron railings?
To ask the Manager for an update on the progress being made on the development and improvement of Waterstown Park, Palmerstown?
To ask the Manager to report on the current grasscutting Programme in the Lucan and Palmerstown areas, including on the verges and medians on the N4, in particular any delays in having the grass cut on a regular basis owing up the unsightly situation of long grass and weeds on the N4?
To ask the Manager to outline Council policy on tree pruning/cutting on public pathways and within housing estates. How much monies are allocated for same in the annual budget? Is there a programme of work mapped out each year ? If so what areas are on the list and when is this type of work carried out within this local area boundary? Following on from a number of residents from various housing estates within Clondalkin, will the Manager make a commitment to inspect and cut the trees outside the houses from a list I will supply to the Manager on receipt of this request?
To ask the Manager following representation from several residents in Lealand Avenue, to have a look at the open green space and shrubs that are being used unfortunately for anti social activity, with a view to cutting back the shrubs and the planting of new trees/plants etc. which will not give cover or attract anti social activity?
Noting the reply to Question (26) at the ACM(2) of September 2007, to ask the Manager if he can clarify the issue of the type of surface finish ( tarmacadam or otherwise) that is to be applied to the new pathways in Griffeen Valley Park?
To ask the Manager if he can examine potential measures to counteract the use of the small parking area at the entrance to Lucan Demesnes by motorists using it as a Park and Ride/All Day parking space and this inhibiting and discouraging genuine visitors to the Demesne who wish to park for a short time while they and their families enjoy the amenity of the Demesne?

That the Manager brings forward a report on the Council's current policy and practice in relation to the taking in charge of open spaces especially as this relates to back lanes, pieces of land within estates not readily identified as public open space and reservations connected with public utilities and services and that the matter be fully discussed.
That this Committee calls on the Manager to develop an enhancement programme for the entrance to Lindisfarne Avenue (alongside the school and on the opposite side of the road) including planters and tree planting.
That this Council provides free Halloween removals of bonfire materials already collected and commends the Parks Department for their work in this difficult task.
That the Manager would provide an up-to-date report on the delays in providing the toilet facility previously agreed as part of the discussion generated by my Motion in February '07,for installation in June '07 in Willsbrook Park, Lucan for the benefit of the players, visiting teams, mentors, supporters, parents etc., associated with Lucan Sarsfields GAA Camogie Section.
That this Committee congratulates the Manager and staff of the Parks Departmenton on the excellent work done on the extension and improvement of Hermitage Park, Lucan and requests that a Family Day be organised for this Park in Summer 2008.
That this Committee recommends that South Dublin County Council develops an area for the use of quads and motorbikes.

Questions
To ask the Manager, what new uses are proposed for the old swimming pool at Clondalkin Community Centre?
To ask the Manager for a complete list of activities available at the new pool complex in Clondalkin?
To ask the Manager if he will make a report on the procedures to be followed by representatives of Residents Associations and other groups who wish to book accommodation for occasional use in Ballyowen Castle Centre, including details on contact names and telephone numbers, charges for rentals and arrangements for gaining access to the building when venues have been booked for meetings and other events?
To ask the Manager if the County Arts Officer can progress the proposal to make a room in Ballyowen Castle Community Centre available top Artists/Artists Groups for occasional Art Exhibitions?
To ask the Manager if he will request the Community and Parks Departments to bring forward proposals to promote and sustain the formation of Residents Associations and Environmental Groups in Quarryvale?
To ask the Manager for an updated report on the Council's ongoing efforts to provide a Community centre for Palmerstown?

That information and details regarding all facilities that will be provided at the new Clondalkin swimming pool be given to this Committee.
That this Committee recommends that palisade fencing be put around the Knockmitten Community Centre and requests South Dublin County Council to find funding for the project.
That the Manager would present a detailed up-to-date report on progress made in the design of the new Lucan Swimming Pool, including the new Lucan Sports and Leisure Centre, and would he please outline what level of consultation is taking place, or will take place, to try to ensure that the needs of thegrowing local community, including sporting and social clubs, groups, organisations etc., will be met.
That the Manager would provide a detailed report for discussion on progress made to establish Lucan's 1st Youth Café, as previously tabled for discussion in June 2006 because a Youth Café facility was identified by many young people I have been working with in the Lucan area, including the Students at St. Joseph's College, Lucan, who highlighted the need for Lucan's 1st Youth Café in the Young Social Innovators Programme that year.

To ask the Manager to consider allowing saloon cars entry to the Green Recycling Depot, Lucan free of charge while maintaining the charge on estate cars, pick-ups, trailers and vans in particular commercial operators? With the advent of brown bins this should be possible.
To ask the Manager when the long awaited green litter bins are going to be installed given that it is almost twelve months since this problem was supposed to be resolved?
To ask the Manager why the green sweeping machine is currently not in use in Lucan?

That the Council provides additional litter bins at identifiable "litter spots" e.g. between the Statoil Station and the Community School in Palmerstown and that the Council launches an anti-litter campaign that can raise public awareness and supports the work of our hard working litter wardens.
That a report be brought to the Committee updating the rollout of brown bins and any further information regarding further refuse disposal.
That the Area Committee welcomes the Government decision to increase the level of Litter Fines, recognises the dedication and hard work of our Litter Wardens in the Lucan-Clondalkin area, and requests the Manager to explore all avenues to increase the number of wardens employed by the Council for the Lucan-Clondalkin area and if he will make a statement on the matter.
