That the Manager would present a detailed report for discussion on the progress made arising from the local consultation process I requested and that the Manager would now present his plans, including details of a suitable venue for a Youth Café project, including a time-scale, in the vicinity of Lucan Village.

That this Committee deplores the refusal of the Government to establish a new national swimming pools funding programme, having closed down the previous programme seven years ago in 2000, just when the Council was about to make an application for a Lucan Swimming Pool, and requests the Manager to write to the Minister for Arts, Sports and Tourism demanding that the new programme be opened so that the decision of the Manager and the Council, as reflected in the 3 Year Capital Budget, to complete a swimming pool by the end of 2009 can be realised.

a)  Agrees to clean the rubbish from St. Cuthbert's Park, and

b)  Agrees to spray the weeds along the walls and paths of the Park.

That this Committee believes that Quarryvale Park has the potential to be developed as a valuable amenity for the residents of Quarryvale and as an attractive landscape at the entrance to the future Liffey Valley Town Centre and requests the manager to make a report on enhancement works planned for the park in the summer and any plans for the further development of the park.

That this Committee recommends that South Dublin County Council plant trees in the gaps in the line of trees on either side of Bawnogue Road.

To ask the Manager to facilitate the small number of houses on Tay Lane to connect to the new sewage main which is being put in place to service the new Traveller housing programme in the same area.  As this is being put in place at considerable expense to the taxpayer and passes in front  of the houses mentioned above it seems logical that these residents should be allowed to connect to this main.

That this Committee agrees to ask for a graffiti warden in view of the appalling escalating problem, and to allocate funds for a continuous clean up service. 

That the Manager offers support for the designation of a recreational area allowing teenagers to practice their graffiti.

That the Manager removes the bin from outside 12 Tower Road and that the Manager explains why it is not a standard that Dublin Bus must supply a bin with each bus stop granted.
