Motions
This Area Committee calls on the Chief Executive to remove the bushes that are surrounding the tree's on Killinarden Way, between Killinarden Estate & the Vivo. These bushes were originally planted to protect the tree's while they were growing. Since then, half of the bushes have been removed. However, the other half has been left which as a result, now has rats nesting in them and there has been increased reports of rat infestations around the locality. This is causing a real health & safety concern for the residents. In addition, to the bushes being removed, the Area Committee also calls on the HSE Pest Control to respond to any related calls as soon as these issues are reported.
This Area Committee calls on the Chief Executive to have the hedges trimmed surrounding the Brookview Estate on the Fortunestown Road & Brookfield Road as a matter of urgency. Additionally, for the edges of the grass to be filled with soil for the purpose of leveling it to the path as it has now become a health & safety issue for many of the residents with disabilities in the area. As well as those using the route to travel to & from School/Work.
