Questions
"To ask the Chief Executive what the level of tree canopy cover in the Clondalkin LEA is and if he will report on same, with a breakdown of planned planting in the next 12 months?"
"I understand from correspondence I have had with Waterways Ireland that the maintenance of the path and hedges of the Grand Canal in Clondalkin, as well as the bins were taken on by South Dublin County Council as part of its redevelopment of this area over a decade ago and this included path upgrades, lighting, bin installation etc. Related to this to ask the chief executive to outline in detail how South Dublin County Council organizes litter picking and bin emptying along the Grand Canal in Clondalkin including how many hours per day are given to this task. The level of litter along the canal footpath and stretch in Clondalkin would indicate that insufficient resources are being devoted to this task."
"To ask the Chief Executive that as the Parkrun use Corkagh Park every Saturday morning for a 5k run/walk, anywhere from 180 to 365 runners from all over Ireland and beyond each Saturday. This is an ideal opportunity to showcase Corkagh Park to all the participants - with this in mind, would it be possible for the course to be checked on a Friday to ensure it's free from potholes (especially around the lakes) and waterlogged paths?"
