That the Manager would bring forward a report for discussion on what initial procedures are required to begin a process to establish a Town Council for Lucan. Given the significant increase in the population and needs of Lucan in recent years, that this Committee supports the establishment of the Lucan Town Council.
Roads
Questions
To ask the Manager to repair or re-build the damaged road ramps on Tower Road, Clondalkin paying particular attention to the ramp adjacent to the Garda Station.
To thank the Manager for his earlier agreement to modify the height and finish to stone-type, on the wall at Woodville Downs from the traffic lights at Woodies up to the slip road and for agreeing to install palisade fencing on the slip road to the South of Woodville Downs, all as part of the Outer Ring Road. Also, for acknowledging my representations on behalf of other residential estates on the Outer Ring Road who believe additional noise attenuation measures are required, by agreeing to examine any short comings in the scheme and, if necessary, to engage contractors to remedy such short comings when the contract is complete.
To ask the Manager to report in detail on efforts being made to introduce park and ride facilities in the Lucan, Clondalkin and Palmerstown areas that may be of great assistance in removing car traffic from our roads, particularly at peak traffic times, given the increasing and chronic traffic gridlock on our roads?
To ask the Manager to agree to a Road's Department official meeting with a spokesperson from the Lucan Heights and Cloisters Residents Association to discuss possible improvements to the pedestrian laneway into Lucan Heights and Cloisters from the Lucan Road. This matter has been repeatedly raised during local consultations I have had with local residents in this area?
To ask the Manager to provide a "warning sign" to slow down the traffic on the on Newcastle / Hazelhatch Road at the following areas:

That the Manager provide an up to date report on traffic calming measures to be installed on Convent Road, Clondalkin between Round Towers G.A.A. Club and Clondalkin Village.
That the Old Lucan Road, Palmerstown be included in the current update of traffic calming measures.
That the Manager would present a detailed Report for discussion on his proposals to remove heavy goods vehicles from Lucan Village. The increase in the volume of trucks in Lucan Village is the cause of serious concern to the Lucan Community on grounds of safety of residents, including many school-going children and parents, and also arising from the cause of increased traffic congestion and consequential inconvenience.
Development
Questions
To ask the Manager to provide an up-to-date report on the site immediately adjacent to and west of Mt. Bellew Way, south of Willsbrook Road and north of Lucan Educate Together School?
To ask the Manager to report in detail on all aspects of the on-going development of Clubhouse facilities for Esker Celtic Football Club at Ballyowen Park, Lucan.
