MOTION: Cllr. John Lahart

"That the manager outline to the area committee what department is responsible for the maintenance of Taylor Court, what department is responsible for the maintenance of the landscaping in Taylor's Court and to explain to the Area Committee why almost no maintenance works in relation to the cutting of grass (cut just once at my request and again this year). and why all the great design work at Taylor's Court in terms of the Cobble Lock has become unkept."

REPORT

Housing Department Maintenance Section is responsible for the maintenance of the houses in Taylor's Court and does so in accordance with Housing Response and Cyclical Maintenance Policy and Programmes.

Grass is cut monthly during the growing season and the problems identified regarding the nunber of cuts made at Taylor's Court during this year will be addressed with the grass cutting contractor.

If an additional cut is now required arrangements will be made to do so.

Housing Department is responsible for house and gardens only and has no role with regard to maintenance or repairs outside the boundary of the premises.

Roads Department is responsible for maintenance and repair of footpath and roads and Housing Department will carry out inspection of the area at Taylor's Court and request Roads Department to carry out any maintenance that may be required.
