COMHAIRLE CHONTAE ÁTHA CLIATH THEAS
SOUTH DUBLIN COUNTY COUNCIL
MEETING OF TALLAGHT AREA COMMITTEE 2
Monday, November 27, 2006
QUESTION NO: 18
QUESTION: Councillor K. Warren
“To ask the Manager if he will set out what plans he has, if any, to reinstate the existing narrow public pedestrian pathway that runs between Broomhill Road and Airton Road on the Greenhills Road, if he could reinstate this pathway in the context of the Footpath Repairs Programme, and if could make a statement on the matter.”
REPLY:
The existing hedge adjacent to the path has become overgrown. The owner of the adjoining industrial premises has undertaken to have this cut back. Repairs to the footpath will be considered for inclusion in the 2007 works programme as priorities and resources permit.
It should be noted that a realignment of the Greenhills Road in this area has been included in the County Development Plan involving a major realignment, new footpaths and cycletracks.
