QUESTION No. 9

QUESTION: Councillor K. Warren

“To ask the Manager if, in the context of the 2007/2008 Roads Estimate, grants will be provided for Sundale Walk, Parade, and Lawn, as a means of reducing the serious problem of speeding in this area, given the fact that the main road which adjoins the three roads mentioned above, has obtained traffic calming measures in recent years, and if he will make a statement on the matter?”

REPLY:

In 2003 the Council circulated details of the proposed traffic calming measures for the Suncroft / Sundale area to all households in the area and invited submissions from the residents to the measures proposed. There is no record of any submission from residents in Sundale Walk, Parade and Lawn.

However, if the local residents forward a petition to the council outlining  the need for traffic calming measures the matter will be considered.
