QUESTION: Councillor C. King

"To ask the Manager to explain what difficulties were present to result in the large scale resurfacing works that recently took place on the northern section of the Belgard Road at Tallaght Garda station and the Abberley Court etc and to outline the total cost of these works?"

REPLY

The works were carried out as part of the 2006 - 2008 Road Restoration Improvement programme, passed by Council and approved by the Department of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government. The road surface had deteriorated due to numerous service crossings and a loss of surface texture.

Total cost of the works were €310,000.
