QUESTION No. 14
QUESTION: Councillor A.White
"To ask the Manager to provide additional litter bins for Rathfarnham village?"
REPLY:
A number of litter bins in
Rathfarnham
Village have been removed in recent times by contractors working on behalf of the Road Maintenance Section of the Council. The Area Engineer in charge of the Cleansing Section is currently making the necessary arrangements to have these bins either reinstated or replaced. The request for additional litter bins in the area has been referred to the engineer in charge and he will assess the need for these once the full compliment of bins has been restored in the area. Additional bins will be installed in due course if the cleansing engineer establishes that this is necessary. It is worth noting that the most recent IBAL survey gave
Rathfarnham
Village ‘litter free’ status, which would seem to indicate that the area is adequately catered for by the existing bins in place.
