MOTION: Councillor C. Jones

"That this Committee urges that the Old Mill junction be upgraded as a matter of priority, with a view to ensuring a more efficient traffic light sequence and should include left turning filter lanes to allow better traffic flow."

REPORT:

There are proposals to upgrade and improve this junction as part of the forthcoming Firhouse Road Improvement Scheme Phase 2, which is scheduled to commence within the next two to three weeks, and which is estimated to be completed by early 2008.
