South Dublin County Council Crest

MEETING OF CLONDALKIN, NEWCASTLE, RATHCOOLE, SAGGART AND BRITTAS AREA COMMITTEE

Wednesday, October 21, 2026

MOTION NO. 6

MOTION: Councillor F. Timmons

That this Area Committee ask SDCC to consider Pickleball in Corkagh Park in Clondalkin?

REPORT:

The Council are aware of the growing demand for Racquet sports.

While a provision was made in the current Capital Programme (2026-2028) for the development of Padel Courts, a further provision, if agreed can be made in the upcoming Programme to review the development of Racquet Sports, including Pickleball, across the County. This will allow for the consideration of Pickleball Courts in Corkagh Park, as well as other locations.
