QUESTION: Councillor W. Carey

To ask the Chief Executive if public lighting could be installed along footpath between St Johns Close and entrance of Corkagh Park. ( This pedestrian route is used frequently by people moving between St Johns/Greenpark and Cherrywood Estates).

REPLY:

This footpath is across an open space which is in the charge of Public Realm. 

We have discussed the matter with Public Realm and they have advised that they will make every effort to install public lighting at this location in the current year subject to the availability of funding. 

In the event that it is not feasible, it will be listed for consideration in the draft Public Realm Improvement Works Programme for 2027.
