QUESTION: Councillor J. Spear

To ask the Chief Executive whether the Council maintains, in accordance with its obligations under Section 10(5) of the Roads Act 1993, a Schedule of Public Roads and associated map.

REPLY:

South Dublin has a road schedule that is kept updated by the drawing section of the Roads department. The schedule is where the official name and road number are documented.

The road schedule is updated as required and all new roads that are constructed or taken in charge are added to this.

The road schedule has been mapped in ArcGIS which allows us to provide accurate mapping to the Road Management Office and keep the national Pavement Management System updated.
