"That this committee requests an investigation of the fact that under the Tenant Purchase Scheme, Tallaght tenants could be paying significantly higher prices (to purchase their long term residences) than participants of other Council schemes such as the Affordable Housing Scheme"

REPORT

The average house price in 2005 for a three bedroomed property under the Tenant Purchase Scheme was €132469.04.The average house price for a property being sold under the Affordable House Scheme during the same period was €152821.34. Under the Affordable Housing Scheme the properties sold varied from one ,two & three bedroomed apartments & three bedroomed houses.
