MOTION: Councillor A. Hayes

That SDCC provide Councillors with the findings of its surveys of the gullies and drainage pipes on Kennelsfort Road Upper where flooding regularly occurs in heavy rain as the previously committed extra jetting has not remedied the matter.

REPORT:

Natural Water Section is responsible for the maintenance of the surface water network across the County. 

The surface water network at this location of road has been inspected, jetted and is clear of debris.

The SDCC Road Sweeping Contract is responsible for the sweeping of the road network and the cleaning of over 44,000 gullies, and they have been informed of the issue at this location.

Natural Water and Roads Maintenance will carry out further investigation to determine the root of the issue and identify appropriate remedial measures.
