MOTION NO. 4

MOTION: Councillor T. McDonald

That South Dublin County Council arranges for the inspection and clearing of the road drains/gullies on the narrow road between Lucan Community National School and the Buirg an Rí estate, Lucan, as a matter of urgency and in advance of the winter season.

REPORT:

Natural Water Section is responsible for the maintenance of the surface water pipe network across the County.

The SDCC Road Sweeping Contract is responsible for the sweeping of the road network and the cleaning of over 44,000 gullies. 

Based on this motion, the road drains and gullies along this section of road will be inspected, and any necessary cleaning or desilting works identified will be undertaken in a timely manner in advance of the winter season.
